Adapted from the logo of London’s legendary Compton Cinema Club, our new Severin Cinema Club T-Shirt celebrates the famed members-only film society that specialized in screening uncensored, illicit and banned movies from 1960 to 1984. Located on Old Compton Street in the heart of Soho’s red-light district, the cinema featured plush interiors, a fully stocked bar and a program of landmark films from around the world that enabled transgressive UK filmgoers to thumb their collective nose at the BBFC.
